It’s actually “Dee-dree”

Are you new here? Of course you’re new here. I’m new here even though I’ve owned this domain for two years. So, let’s start with the basics. My name is Deidre which is pronounced as written above. I grew up in rural Kansas on a farm but don’t let that fool you. I avoided any manual labor until I was 16 when my friend and I joined a detasseling crew for our summer job. Detasseling is when you remove the tassel from a stalk of corn and I’m boring myself already but just know it’s very physically demanding – especially when you’re trying to impress older Nebraska boys.

Fast-forward 19 years that included but was not limited to: sports, so many sports, McPherson College, Kansas State University, internships, journalism, math(?), kinesiology, pre-med?, PARTIES, a degree, Kansas City, a job, nursing schoo-no, another job, another job, a house, a marriage, a sprinkling of creative gigs, a smattering of breakdowns, and now here we are. I’m still not sure where “here” is, but I’m glad you’re there with me.
